1998- Rainbow began as a student’s outreach program of Loreto Sealdah School under the leadership of Sr. Cyril Mooney

2002 - Loreto Sisters’ decide to replicate this model in four other schools in Kolkata withthe support of Netherland based Partnership Foundation

2007- Rainbows becomes a pan India movement beginning with setting up of a new home in Delhi

2011- Loreto Rainbow Homes Foundation set up

2016- Kolkata State Support Office begins.

2018- 6 Homes caring for 600 children in Kolkata & 50 Rainbow Homes in India giving shelter to 3989 children
